Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS) Documentation Pack
A complete and structured ISO 42001 Toolkit designed to support organizations, AI implementers, and solution providers in achieving compliance with the ISO 42001:2023 standard.
Pack folder structure:
The ISO 42001 Toolkit is organised by the clause of ISO/IEC 42001:2023 that each document helps you satisfy, so you can work through the standard folder by folder and hand an auditor the matching evidence.
- Clause 4 – Context of the Organisation — 6 documents
- Clause 5 – Leadership — 6 documents
- Clause 6 – Planning — 10 documents
- Clause 7 – Support — 15 documents
- Clause 8 – Operation — 13 documents
- Clause 9 – Performance Evaluation — 10 documents
- Clause 10 – Improvement — 5 documents
- 00 Cross-Cutting — the AIMS Manual and the EU AI Act crosswalk
Each clause folder holds Policies, Procedures and “Forms, Templates & Registers” sub-folders where documents of that type exist. A Clause Index spreadsheet at the top level maps every document to its clause and sub-clause and shows all 24 mandatory sub-clauses covered. Every document appears exactly once; the five that also serve a second clause are cross-referenced in the index.
Aligned to the EU AI Act, not just ISO 42001
An AI management system built only against ISO/IEC 42001 will still leave gaps if you operate in or sell into the EU. This ISO 42001 Toolkit includes a four-sheet EU AI Act to ISO 42001 crosswalk mapping each obligation to the clause that satisfies it — and, importantly, flagging the obligations that no ISO 42001 clause covers, so you know what you still have to handle separately.
Four records are included that a standard ISO 42001 pack does not provide:
- AI System Impact Assessment Record — ISO/IEC 42001 clause 8.4, and the natural home for a fundamental rights impact assessment under EU AI Act Article 27.
- Bias and Fairness Testing Record — evidence of testing for unfair outcomes, supporting clause 8.1 and Articles 10 and 15.
- Human Oversight Log — demonstrates meaningful human oversight under Articles 14 and 26, with worked override examples.
- Prohibited Practice Screening Record — screens each AI system against the practices banned by Article 5, in force since 2 February 2025.
We track ISO/IEC 42001 and the wider AI regulatory landscape monthly, so the ISO 42001 Toolkit reflects the current position rather than the position when it was written.
